Tamiflu saved Egyptian boy from bird flu.

Five-year old Egyptian boy, has recovered from bird flu and was allowed to go home, as Cairo hospital director, is saying.

The treatment with frontline antiviral Tamiflu saved the boy. The child was the 22nd case to test positive for the H5N1 virus in Egypt, which has the largest cluster of bird flu outside Asian region. Out of 22 tested people, 13 died.

World Trade Organization emphasizes that in Egypt many people keep poultry at home, which makes the virus harder to fight. Bird flu caused big panic across the country and did extensive damages to poultry industry and to health of people as well.
